Introduction
Today, we embark on a spiritual journey to explore how we, as believers, can navigate the challenges of life by drawing strength from the Supernatural One who is capable of performing magnificent deeds. As humans, we often find ourselves frail and feeble, struggling to withstand the trials that life throws our way. We question when these trying times will end, and our resolve often weakens more than it strengthens. This can lead to a range of struggles, from depression and addiction to traumatic experiences and despair. However, amidst these challenges, there is hope in the form of a Creator, the Maker of the Universe, who can heal the brokenhearted, offer solace to the discouraged, and provide strength to the weary. This Creator becomes a Father to those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord, highlighting the profound importance of a personal relationship with Jesus, being born again.
On Eagle’s Wings: Carried by the Holy Spirit
Let’s turn our attention to the Word of God to grasp what He has made available to those who have entered into a partnership with Jesus, the Giver of Life. In Exodus 19:1-4, God reminds the children of Israel of His extraordinary actions on their behalf. He declares, “Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagle’s wings, and brought you unto myself.” Here, “eagle’s wings” symbolize an unnatural ability, one not inherent to the organism. Dogs don’t fly, and sheep don’t sing beautifully. When you encounter a dog with wings and the ability to sing, you’re witnessing an entity operating with unnatural abilities. Similarly, humans, at their best, are susceptible to life’s challenges and can easily falter under pressure.
The Holy Spirit: Unnatural Strength and Divine Authority
In the New Testament, God continues to work wonders in the lives of believers, but He does so through the Holy Spirit. Through the Holy Spirit, He bestows upon believers the capacity to exist in an unnatural state of strength and divine authority. John 1:12 proclaims, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power (right) to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” Being a child of God confers upon you the privilege of living as a representative of God’s authority on Earth.
Renewed Strength by the Holy Spirit
Isaiah 40:28-31 reinforces this truth. It serves as a reminder that God, the Creator of the Earth, never grows weary or faints. He grants power to the faint-hearted and increases the strength of those who have none. Even the youth will grow tired, and young men will stumble and fall. However, those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings as eagles, run without growing weary, and walk without fainting.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Holy Spirit provides us with supernatural strength. Through our relationship with Jesus, we gain divine authority and the ability to conquer life’s challenges. By relying on the Holy Spirit, we soar like eagles, run without growing weary, and walk in unwavering faith. We live as overcomers, manifesting God’s glory in the world.
Prayer:
“I lean on you, Holy Spirit. Renew my strength and help me to soar on wings like eagles. In your strength, I can run and not grow weary, walk and not faint.”
Hungry Thirsty Heart: “We are spreading God’s love to the cosmos.”
